I decided to quit my job in the US and move to Montreal in September 2008 to work on my own projects, at the time, I was working on YowTRIP.

I never really intented it to be a one-year project. :)

Why did I do that?

I had a lot of ideas and not enough time to work on them. As long as I was in the US, I had to maintain a full-time job in order to keep my immigration status current. I never really enjoyed working for other people. I don't like routine.

Why Montreal?

I visited Montreal in 2006 and fell in love with the city. So, since I could go anywhere, why not to my favorite city in the world?

I had never spent the Winter here before and people warned me about it. But, not only I survived it, but I loved it.

What did I do over the past year?

As soon as I moved here I started a monthly networking event: Montreal NewTech Meetup. In the first three months I was working on YowTRIP. Then in January 2009, I started developing Twtapps. In October 2009, I started 63 Squares.
