Running errands

It seems like all I’ve been doing so far is run errands… every day! Getting all my Canadian paperwork has proven to be more challenging than expected… (Part of it was my fault) But today, I was finally able to get my health card and a SSN equivalent. I have appointments for driver license, “welcome to Quebec” thing, and I’m waiting for the French course letter and Permanent Residency card on the mail… No worries, my days have been pretty relaxing though: run errands, get something to eat, afternoon naps, then fun work :)

Tomorrow I have to go open a bank account (yeah, I had to set up an appointment last week), go to the post office to get my lost passport + US visa, then go to the train/bus station to get tickets to NYC for Web 2.0 Expo… I have to make sure I bring all my paperwork, so I can come back to Canada, since I don’t have my permanent residency card yet (which is what I need to be able to travel outside of Canada)

As far as YowTRIP goes, I’m finally starting to make some progress. I’ve been going back and forth with some friends about the new design. Once I have that figure out I’ll start the alpha release development.

And last by not least, the networking events in Montreal have been going great. This week, I went to the Entrepreneur Breakfast meetup and met some nice people, and I found a place to host our first Montreal NewTech meetup in October.
