What’s new in the Travel 2.0 space…

The travel 2.0 companies continue to innovate. Of course, the travel industry is a multi-billion dollars industry and EVERYBODY travels (business, leisure, or a combination of the two) … and most people LOVE to travel. So it’s great when new companies come up with solutions to make our travel lives easier or more efficient.

Today, I got news from two of the leading travel social network sites with new features. First was Tripit that released its application for LinkedIn. So now you can share your trips from Tripit with your LinkedIn network. Maybe this will make LinkedIn a bit more useful (I’m sorry, but I don’t see the value on LinkedIn… You have a lot of connection, but you can’t do anything with it).

The second one was our friends from Europe, Dopplr. You can now let them check your other social networks weekly for your new friends who are also Dopplr members and then they will notify you about your friends travel plans.

As far as YowTRIP, I’m going to get back to work hard next week. Even though I have been making a lot of good contacts here in the Bay Area, I feel I’m behind on my work… But I should have the ALPHA version of the site ready by Mid-November.

I’ve been here in the Silicon Valley for about a week pitching YowTRIP to VCs and Angels and anybody who wants to hear about it. I recorded a new pitch at the Vator.TV’s office last week, so once they have it up, I’ll share it with you all.

If you haven’t seen my pitch yet and/or not sure about the changes I’m making to YowTRIP… just wait a few more weeks. :)
